Interior Marketing Group, also known as IMG is an interior design firm based out of New York. The marketing aspect of the company is very important, the website states, “we’ve invented a unique hybrid of interior design, public relations, marketing and event planning that defies market trends.” This firm is the largest luxury real estate design and marketing firm in the united states and their services include, interior design, staging, interior marketing. The company was founded in 2007 by real estate agent Cheryl Eisen and has been a powerhouse company ever since. As a marketing major with an extreme interest in Interior Design I am obsessed with this firm. Not only has the company found a way to connect my two passions but also produce state of the art designs all over the United States. The firm has won countless awards and I don’t see them slowing down any time soon. Learn more about the company at and follow their instagram @img_nyc for stunning interior marketing work.

Check out this really cool interior design instagram page @altforliving. This pages features amazing design inspiration, especially living room design, as you can see from these lovely pictures above. I love this page because there is a lot of variation in the designs due to the fact that multiple different designers from the company are featured. Maybe next week we will take a deeper look into specific designers and hear more about their work.

Today I want to talk about one of my favorite design instagram accounts @drummonds_bathrooms. Drummonds is a UK based manufacturer and retailer of classic bathroom products founded in1988. Drummond Shaw founded this company when he was on his own journey of restoring a property and searching for antique pieces. The company started as a UK based architectural antiques dealer but has since gained its popularity for its focus on gorgeous and restored bathroom products. Their design work is absolutely stunning and is featured all around the world. If you want to learn more about the Drummond’s story visit and look at their work on instagram at @drummonds_bathrooms. For now check out their pieces here and comment on which picture is your favorite.

The Kitchen Sells the Home

The kitchen is arguably the most important part of a home and is responsible for making and breaking sales. Let’s take a look at this gorgeous kitchen featuring a large floating marble island and matching backsplash. This is a muted kitchen but at the same time there is still a lot going on. Yes the only colors we really see are to variations of wood, marble, and black but they go together so perfectly and aren’t boring. The black stools were the perfect touch bringing out the dark tones in the gray of the marble. The light vertical planked wood floors make this room look even bigger and longer so that the island doesn’t look too big for the space. This kitchen is extremely modern with the medium toned wood cabinetry with hidden lines and handles. Everything blends in together, even the fridge. The open floating shelves with white kitchen ware draws the eye upward and complements the white in the marble backsplash perfectly. This kitchen is beautiful and the color scheme is stellar. What do you think? Do you want to see more kitchens?

An Athlete’s Dream

We are a whole new meaning to indoor/outdoor living with this mini indoor basketball court perfect for a sports family. I love this room of the week because it clearly screams basketball court without doing too much. If you wanted to, you could make this room look like a conventional living room or other home area with a rug and a few furniture pieces. All in all I think this is a really fun addition to any home if you have the space especially if you have young kids or sports enthusiasts in the family. Picture courtesy of @workshopapd

That’s TUFFted!

One thing I am obsessed with is tufted rugs, they add a whole new level of spice to any and every room. I love this room because it is extremely colorful without clashing and being “too much.” The color scheme features lots of warm colors and tones like orange, gold, brown, peach and more. The olive green seater on the side breaks up the abundance of warm tones perfectly and ties everything together. The copper and black coffee table is a perfect pairing with the yellow/gold and black in the tufted rug and the geometric shapes pair perfectly with the funky and unique shapes of the seats. The light wood floors completely brighten up the room and reflect the natural light from the large floor to ceiling doors. I love the fact that the upholstery fabric is different on every single chair and this room also features 2019 fan favorite, bouclé upholstery. I can’t get enough of this room of the week and if you want to see more rooms like this visit @altforliving.
